I was teaching Max how to do additions like 10 plus 10 and 10 plus 20. I showed him the process by example with 10 plus 10. Then I asked him to do 10 plus 20. As he was doing it I watched. I blurted out 10 plus 20 is 30. he was so upset that I did it for him, he demanded to me: "Spit it out", so he can say it.
A friend volunteered to help me hold our younger son Nickitta after we came out of a restaurant. I said to my friend with relief: "He's yours". Max, still at his language imitation stage, overheard it and repeated "A dios" in Spanish, that he learned from cartoon's on TV.
